New Metro audiocast available online

The newest Metro audiocast, dated June 22, is now available to customers on Metro's audiocast page and on iTunes. "On Track" offers listeners a summary of Metro-related news for the week, and provides an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact their weekend travel.

The "On Track" audiocast posted today tells listeners about bus detours and weekend single-tracking for rail car testing and track work that will cause delays of up to 15 minutes on the Red and Green lines.

The audiocast also provides information about bus changes beginning Sunday, June 24, the upcoming construction project on the South Capitol Street Bridge, the Caribbean Festival, National Capital Barbecue Battle, Sounds in the Square and sporting events.

Listeners can send comments and suggestions for future audiocasts to ontrack@wmata.com.

Online users can download the audiocasts from Metro's Web site and listen on their computers or MP3 devices, such as an iPod or zune. In addition, the Metro audiocast is now available on iTunes. Search the podcast area of the iTune store for "On Track" in the title to find the Metro audiocast. Individuals can also subscribe on iTunes to automatically receive each week's downloads.
