Metro Transit Police Seeks Assistance in Aggravated Assault Case

The Metro Transit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect for questioning in an aggravated assault case at the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metrorail station on Thursday, May 17.

On May 17, at 11:30 p.m., a 69-year-old and 56-year-old male were exiting the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metrorail station. One of the men saw another man defacing an Israeli-Palestinian advertisement posted in the station and photographed him marking up the ad. The suspect attacked the victims as they exited the station. The suspect fled southbound on Connecticut Ave., NW.

The Metro Transit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect for questioning. A photo is attached. Anyone with information about this case should contact the Metro Transit Police Criminal Investigations Division at 202-962-1792.
