Metrobus stops at L'Enfant Plaza to move to D Street, SW

Metrobus riders on routes 5A, 52, 54, A9 and V5 who use bus stops around L’Enfant Plaza will have to board their buses at a new stop on the north side of D Street, SW, between 6th and 7th streets beginning Sunday, July 15.

Four Metrobus stops will be eliminated because of a two-year project at 400 7th Street, SW, that will close the sidewalks. Buses will no longer stop on the south side of D Street, SW, between 6th and 7th streets, north side of E Street, SW, east of 7th Street, SW, and east side of 7th Street, SW, between D and E streets.

The District of Columbia Department of Transportation will establish a 240-foot Metrobus zone on the north side of D Street, SW, between 6th and 7th streets to replace the bus stops that are being removed.

Northbound passengers on Metrobus routes 70, 71, A42, A46, A48 and V8 who use the stop on the east side of 7th Street, SW, north of E Street, will have to go to 7th and G streets or Maryland Avenue. Westbound passengers on Metrobus routes V7 and V9 who use the bus stop on the east side of 7th Street, SW, north of E Street, will need to go to 7th and G streets or 9th and D streets.
