Metro to sponsor procurement conference for disadvantaged businesses
Metro will hold its Seventh Annual Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) procurement conference on Wednesday, July 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Metro’s headquarters, 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
The conference aims to help potential contractors from disadvantaged business enterprises -- businesses owned by women and minorities -- understand and participate in procurement opportunities with Metro and other government agencies in the region. The event will cover topics such as insurance, financial services, marketing to government agencies, building wealth and protecting your business.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, District of Columbia, Prince George’s County, big businesses and several federal government agencies also are participating in the conference.
