Forest Glen Metrorail station reopened
The Forest Glen Metrorail station was temporarily closed for 35 minutes this evening, Wednesday, November 7, as a result of a fire alarm that was activated and shut down all six elevators servicing the station. Trains were passing through, but not stopping at the Red Line station because the only way to enter or exit the Forest Glen Metrorail station is via high-speed elevator because the station is so deep underground.
The incident began at approximately 4:45 p.m. and the station reopened at 5:20 p.m. There was no fire.
