Metrorail to Open At 6 a.m. this Saturday Morning for the 20th Annual Fannie Mae Foundation Help the Homeless Walkathon

This Saturday, November 17, the Metrorail system will open one hour early, at 6 a.m., to accommodate the crowds expected to attend the 20th Annual Help the Homeless Walkathon, which begins at 9 a.m.

The walk will take place between 7th and 14th Street, N.W., on the National Mall.
Participants and spectators are encouraged to take Metrorail and exit at the L’Enfant Plaza Metrorail station on the Blue, Orange, Yellow and Green lines, the Archives-Navy Memorial Metrorail station on the Green and Yellow lines, the Smithsonian Metrorail station on the Blue and Orange lines, or the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metrorail station on the Red, Yellow and Green lines. For those driving to Metrorail stations to begin their trips, parking is free at Metro-operated parking lots and garages during weekends.
