As gas prices rise, leave the car at home and use Metro. Metro will offer normal weekday service on Friday, November 23, opening at 5 a.m., and closing at 3 a.m.

The day after Thanksgiving is traditionally one of the busiest shopping days of the year and Metro will provide convenient, affordable and reliable transportation to bargain hunters. With gas prices more than $3 a gallon, Washingtonians should consider Metro as their preferred transportation mode for the holidays. Metro will provide its normal weekday service six-car trains during the peak hours will be available on Friday for holiday shoppers.
