Personnel Conducting Air Tests in Metrorail Stations This Week

Customers traveling on Metrorail this week through December 14 may see personnel conducting air flow tests in the Metrorail system. Personnel wearing bright orange safety vests and badges will be involved with these air sample tests.

The purpose of these air sample tests is to better examine how air flows within the Metrorail system and to gain a better understanding of how it travels from station-to-station.

Metrorail customers may see personnel installing portable equipment in all underground Metrorail stations as part an airflow test program. The air flow study test will not impact customers or Metrorail service.
