Street closings affected by State of the Union address at the U.S. Capitol will impact select metrobus routes

The President of the United States will deliver his State of the Union Address tonight at the U.S. Capitol at 9 p.m., resulting in numerous street closings for security purposes.

Metrobus routes 32, 34, 35, 36 (Friendship Heights/Pennsylvania Avenue Line), 96 (Capitol Heights Station/McLean Gardens Line) and the N22 (Navy Yard/Union Station Loop Shuttle) will be rerouted from 7:30 p.m. until the President leaves the area.

Customers should expect to add time to their trips if they travel along these six routes.
