Metrorail to open at 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, for the Cherry Blossom 10-mile race

Metrorail will open two hours early, at 5 a.m., on Sunday, April 6, for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-mile race. The race begins at 7:45 a.m., and will start and finish near the Washington Monument. The closest Metrorail stop is the Smithsonian Metrorail station on the Blue and Orange lines.

During that period of time, Metrorail trains will operate every 12 to 15 minutes on all lines.
