New Metro audiocast available online

The newest Metro audiocast, dated April 11, is now available to customers on www.metroopensdoors.com and on iTunes. “On Track” offers listeners a summary of Metro-related news for the week, and provides an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact their weekend travel.

The “On Track” audiocast posted today tells listeners about Metrorail’s temporary suspension of scheduled weekend track work in time for the busy spring travel season. The audiocast also includes information about Metrobus detours, Metrorail overnight track testing and Metro’s current elevator rehabilitation projects.
The audiocast provides information about another busy weekend in the region, with events associated the National Cherry Blossom festival and home games for the Washington Nationals, Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals. It also includes information about the April 17 papal visit and Mass, and sale of the commemorative one-day Mass Pass.

Listeners can send comments and suggestions for future audiocasts to ontrack@wmata.com.

Online users can download the audiocasts from Metro’s Web site and listen on their computers or MP3 devices, such as an iPod or zune. In addition, the Metro audiocast is now available on iTunes. Search the podcast area of the iTune store for “On Track” in the title to find the Metro audiocast. Individuals can also subscribe on iTunes to automatically receive each week’s downloads.
