Weekend Track Maintenance and Rail Car Testing to Affect Metro's Red, Blue and Green lines

Track maintenance and rail car testing on the Red, Blue and Green lines this weekend (May 24-25) will cause inbound and outbound trains to take turns sharing one track.

Red Line Track Maintenance

Metrorail customers traveling between the Friendship Heights and Medical Center Metrorail stations should add at 15 minutes of travel time for their trips because of track maintenance. Inbound and outbound trains between these locations will share one track from 9 p.m. to closing (midnight) Sunday, May 25.

Blue Line Track Maintenance

Metrorail customers traveling between the Stadium-Armory and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Metrorail stations should add up to 20 minutes of travel time for their trips because of track maintenance. Inbound and outbound trains between these locations will share one track from 8 p.m. to closing (midnight), Sunday, May 25.

Green Line Rail Car Testing

Metrorail customers traveling between the Greenbelt and College Park Metrorail stations should add 15 minutes of travel time for their trips because of new railcar testing. Inbound and outbound trains operating between these locations will share one track from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 24.
