New Metro audiocast available online

The newest Metro audiocast, dated May 23, is now available to customers on www.metroopensdoors.com  and on iTunes. “On Track” offers listeners a summary of Metro-related news for the week, and provides an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact their weekend travel.

The “On Track” audiocast posted today tells listeners about minimal weekend track work that will cause delays of up to 20 minutes on the Blue, Red and Green lines. The audiocast also includes information about Metrobus route detours and current elevator rehabilitation projects

The audiocast provides information about Metrorail holiday hours for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, Memorial Day related events in the region, the opening of the National Museum of Crime and Punishment, Washington Mystics games at the Verizon Center, DC United games at RFK Stadium and Washington Nationals games at Nationals Park, and how to get there via Metrorail or Metrobus.

Online users can download the audiocasts from Metro’s Web site and listen on their computers or MP3 devices, such as an iPod or zune. In addition, the Metro audiocast is now available on iTunes. Search the podcast area of the iTune store for “On Track” in the title to find the Metro audiocast. Individuals can also subscribe on iTunes to automatically receive each week’s downloads.
