New Metro audiocast available online

The newest Metro audiocast, dated June 27, is now available to customers on www.metroopensdoors.com and on iTunes. “On Track” offers listeners a summary of Metro-related news for the week, and provides an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact their weekend travel.

The “On Track” audiocast posted today tells listeners about elevator rehabilitation projects and Metrorail repairs that will cause delays on the Blue, Orange and Red lines.

The audiocast also includes information about Metrobus route detours due to the 16th annual DC Caribbean Carnival and Parade. The audiocast includes information about MetroAccess’ new policy of door-to-door service, replacing curb-to-curb. There is information on upcoming sporting events such as the DC United games and Nationals vs. Orioles games on June 27, 28 and 29 at Nationals Park. There are also details on July 4th festivities such as ceremonies, activities, and celebrations in the metropolitan area.
