New Metro audiocast available online

The newest Metro audiocast, dated August 1, is now available to customers on www.metroopensdoors.com and on iTunes. “On Track” offers listeners a summary of Metro-related news for the week, and provides an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact their weekend travel.

The “On Track” audiocast posted today tells listeners about elevator rehabilitations at the Anacostia, Shaw-Howard University and Potomac Avenue Metrorail stations. There is also information on Metrorail track work that will cause delays on the Red, Blue, and Yellow lines due to track maintenance work. The audiocast includes information on upcoming sporting events such as the Washington Nationals games on August 1, 2 and 3. It also tells listeners about Screen on the Green, Monday nights on the National Mall, and movies shown at the Library of Congress and National Theatre.

Online users can download audiocasts from Metro’s Web site and listen on their computers or MP3 devices. The Metro audiocast is available on iTunes. Search the podcast area of the iTune store for “On Track” in the title. Podcasts can be subscribed to on iTunes to automatically receive each week’s downloads.
