Weekend track work to affect Blue, Orange and Red Lines

Track maintenance on the Blue, Orange and Red lines this weekend (August 15-17) will cause inbound and outbound trains to take turns sharing one track.

Blue Line Track Maintenance

Metrorail customers traveling between the Van Dorn Street and Braddock Road Metrorail stations should add at least 20 minutes of travel time for their trips because of track maintenance. Trains will share one track between these locations from 8 p.m. to closing (3 a.m.), Friday, August 15.

Orange Line Track Maintenance

Metrorail customers traveling between the Minnesota Avenue and Cheverly Metrorail stations should add at least 20 minutes of travel time for their trips because of track maintenance. Trains will share one track between these locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17.

Red Line Track Maintenance

Metrorail customers traveling between the Shady Grove and Twinbrook Metrorail stations should add at least 15 minutes of travel time for their trips because of track maintenance. Trains will share one track between these locations from 8 p.m. to closing (midnight), Sunday, August 17.
