Judiciary Square Metrorail station closed due to report of suspicious package

Judiciary Square Metrorail station on the Red Line is temporarily closed while Metro Transit Police investigate a report of a suspicious package. Trains are continuing to travel through the station, but are not stopping. No customers are allowed to exit trains at Judiciary Square or enter the station, which closed at 11:30 a.m.

Metrorail riders who usually enter or exit Judiciary Square Metrorail station should use the Gallery Pl-Chinatown Metrorail station entrance at 7th and F Streets NW, which is located just two and a half blocks away, to enter or exit the Red Line.

Metro Transit Police have stepped up security this week, the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
