Columbia Heights Metrorail Station Temporarily Closed Due to Suspicious Package Outside the Station
Nothing dangerous found
The Columbia Heights Metrorail station closed at 10:03 a.m. today (Sept. 16) due to a report of a suspicious package located outside the station. District of Columbia Police are investigating.
Green Line trains continue to operate through the station but are not stopping. Metro is establishing free shuttle bus service between the Georgia Ave-Petworth and U St/African-Amer Civil War Memorial/Cardozo Metrorail stations.
Trains will resume service as soon as the police deem the area safe.
