Metro seeks input on improving Metrobus service


First round of public meetings begins Wed., Sept. 24

Metro is asking bus riders for suggestions on how to improve eight Metrobus lines. Riders may provide their comments at public meetings, which begin next week, online or by telephone.

The Service Evaluation Study began in July with the goal to improve Metrobus service on the Washington Boulevard Line (2A, 2B, 2C, 2G), Sibley Hospital – Stadium Armory Line (D1, D3, D6), Glover Park – Dupont Circle Line (D2), Ivy City – Union Station Line (D4), MacArthur Blvd – Georgetown Line (D5), Hospital Center Line (D8), Prince George’s – Langley Park Line (F8) and Eastover – Addison Road Line (P12).

To gather information about the needs of transit riders and community residents, Metro is holding a series of public meetings and each meeting is tied to a specific bus line. The schedule for the first round of meetings is listed below and all meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.

• Wednesday, Sept. 24: The P12 line will be discussed at the Suitland Community Center, 5600 Regency Lane Forestville, Md.

• Thursday, Sept. 25: The D1, D3, D6 line will be discussed at the Palisades Neighborhood Library, 4901 V Street, NW, Washington, DC.

• Tuesday, Sept. 30: The 2A, 2B, 2C, 2G line will be discussed at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross, 2455 Gallows Road, Dunn Loring, Va.

• Wednesday, Oct. 1: The F8 line will be discussed at the Prince George's Plaza Community Center, 6600 Adelphi Road, Hyattsville, Md.
