Glenmont bus loop to close this weekend for repaving

Bus loop will be closed for nearly a month

The bus loop at the Glenmont Metrorail station will be closed for three weeks from Saturday, October 18, to Monday, November 10, while Metro repaves the roadway.

Metrobus passengers who catch the C7, C8, C9, Y5, Y7, Y8 and Y9 will have to board and alight on the northbound side of Georgia Avenue adjacent to the Metrorail station.

The repaving project will also close the Georgia Avenue entrance to the Glenmont parking garage. Entrances to the garage from Layhill Road and Glen Allen Road will remain open.

Metro officials will post signs at the station advising customers of this service change.
