Metrorail staying open until 1 a.m. on Sunday, November 16, to accommodate crowds for the Washington Redskins football game

Extra trains available after the game

The Metrorail system will stay open until 1 a.m. on Monday morning to accommodate the large crowds expected to attend Sunday night’s football game between the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys at FedEx Field.

Metro will have additional personnel at the Morgan Boulevard and Largo Town Center Metrorail stations on the Blue Line and if necessary, will have several additional trains ready to enter service depending on the size of the crowds after the game.

Individuals attending Sunday's Redskins game and who park their cars at the Morgan Boulevard (635 parking spaces) or Largo Town Center (2,200 parking spaces) Metrorail stations on the Blue Line will have to pay $25 to park and they must have a SmarTrip card to pay for parking when exiting these facilities. Paid parking at these two stations begins three hours before kickoff, and continues two hours after the game concludes. Weekend parking at other Metrorail stations remains free.
