New Metro audiocast available online

The newest Metro audiocast, dated November 13, is now available on www.metroopensdoors.com and iTunes. “On Track” offers listeners a summary of Metro-related news for the week and provides an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact their weekend travel.

This edition of “On Track” tells listeners about Metrobus detours this weekend and the Judiciary Square Metrorail station closure on Saturday due to the G20 Summit at the National Building Museum. There is also information about elevator rehabilitations at Anacostia, Potomac Ave and Shaw-Howard U Metrorail stations. The audiocast also tells listeners about a public hearing on the proposed elimination of Metrobus Route 98, the Adams Morgan-U Street Link service, which will be taken over by the DC Circulator. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, November 19, at Metro Headquarters, 600 Fifth Street, NW.

There is also information about upcoming events such as FotoWeek DC, November 15-22, the Washington Capitals hockey game on November 14, the Washington Redskins football game on November 16 and the Washington Wizards basketball games on November 18 and 21. Details about the Presidential Inauguration in January are also included in this week’s audiocast.

Online users can download audiocasts from Metro’s Web site and listen on their computers or MP3 devices. The Metro audiocast is available on iTunes. Search the podcast area of the iTune store for “On Track” in the title. Podcasts can be subscribed to on iTunes and users automatically receive each week’s downloads.
