New Metro audiocast available online

The newest Metro audiocast, dated December 11, is now available on www.metroopensdoors.com and iTunes. “On Track” offers listeners a summary of Metro-related news for the week and provides an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact their weekend travel.

This edition of “On Track” tells listeners about Metrorail track work that will cause delays on the Red and Orange lines this weekend. There is also information about the closure of the F Street entrance at Judiciary Square Metrorail station on Sunday and an ongoing elevator rehabilitation at Anacostia Metrorail station. For a complete list of closings, detours and delays, visit www.metroopensdoors.com and check out the “Metro Service Status” box in the lower left corner of the page.

The audiocast also tells listeners about upcoming events such as the Washington Wizards basketball games on December 15 and 19, the Washington Capitals hockey games on December 12 and 18, and the Georgetown Hoyas basketball game on December 13. Details about the upcoming Presidential Inauguration in January are also included in this week’s audiocast.

Online users can download audiocasts from Metro’s Web site and listen on their computers or MP3 devices. The Metro audiocast is available on iTunes. Search the podcast area of the iTune store for “On Track” in the title. Podcasts can be subscribed to on iTunes and users automatically receive each week’s downloads.
