Riders can receive more information about bus detours

Metro adds Web page dedicated to short term detours

Metro bus riders can now find out more information about bus detours on Metro’s Web site. The transit agency has added a special Web page dedicated to planned short term bus detours. Bus riders may find this page especially useful leading up to the Inauguration given the number of street closures for security reasons.

Riders can find a brief listing of bus detours on Metro’s home page under “Metro Service Alerts.” Metro encourages riders to sign up for mobile text alerts about bus and rail delays at http://www.wmata.com/rider_tools/metro_service_status/rail_Bus.cfm.
