Public meetings announced for Service Evaluation Study

Rider input sought to help make Metrobus service improvements

Metro will host five public meetings during the next two weeks as part of a Service Evaluation Study to examine several Metrobus routes to improve service along those routes.

The purpose of the Service Evaluation Study is to review the productivity, travel time and reliability of certain bus lines and make recommendations for more efficient bus operations. Information from the public, bus drivers and planners is being used to examine ridership, frequency, travel time, reliability and other quality-of-service indicators for the following bus lines:

• Washington Boulevard Line (2A, 2B, 2C, 2G)
• Sibley Hospital-Stadium Armory Line (D1, D3, D6)
• Glover Park-Dupont Circle Line (D2)
• Ivy City-Union Station Line (D4)
• MacArthur Blvd-Georgetown Line (D5)
• Hospital Center Line (D8)
• Prince George’s-Langley Park Line (F8)
• Eastover-Addison Road Line (P12)

Public meetings for each line are scheduled to take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with an open house from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and a presentation of preliminary recommendations and a group exercise from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Meetings will take place as follows:
