Metrobus route 23A to be detoured at Tysons Corner next week


Service change to occur from Feb.2 to Feb. 6

Metro will slightly alter its Metrobus route 23A (McLean-Crystal City) line at the Tysons Galleria service roadway from Monday, February 2, to Friday, February 6 due to a service enhancement project at the mall.

Buses operating westbound to Tysons-Westpark will operate its present route to Galleria Drive, to the west service roadway, making a right on the west service roadway under the parking garage along the west side of the mall, a right on Tysons Boulevard, a left on Park Run Drive, and will continue on its regular route.

Buses operating eastbound will operate on its previous route via Tysons Boulevard, looping around to the roadway to serve the same stop at Park Run Drive, making a left at Tysons Boulevard, a right on Galleria Drive, a right on the west service roadway under the parking garage, a right onto Tysons Boulevard, a left on Galleria Drive, and then continuing on its regular route to Crystal City.

The Tysons Corner Mall will post signs in English and Spanish at the current Metrobus stop location to notify passengers of the detour and the temporary stop location on the west service roadway, which will be at the entrance to Neiman Marcus.

Buses will be able to return to regular route on Saturday, February 7.
