New Metro audiocast available online
The newest Metro audiocast, dated February 20, is now available on www.metroopensdoors.com and iTunes. “On Track” offers listeners a summary of Metro-related news for the week and provides an overview of how planned maintenance work or major events in the region may impact their weekend travel.
This edition of “On Track” tells listeners about track work that will cause delays on the Red Line this weekend. There is also information about ongoing elevator rehabilitations at Ballston and Shaw-Howard U Metrorail stations. To stay up to date on unplanned closings, detours and delays, visit www.metroopensdoors.com and check out the “Metro Service Status” box in the lower left corner of the page.
The audiocast also tells listeners about events around the city such as the DCist Exposed Photography Show today through March 7 at 916 G Street, NW. There is also information about sporting events at the Verizon Center such as the Washington Wizards basketball games on February 21, 25 and 27, the Washington Capitals hockey games on February 20, 22, 24 and 26, and the Georgetown Hoyas basketball games on February 21 and 23.
Online users can download audiocasts from Metro’s Web site and listen on their computers or MP3 devices. The Metro audiocast is available on iTunes. Search the podcast area of the iTunes store for “On Track” in the title. Podcasts can be subscribed to on iTunes and users automatically receive each week’s downloads.
