Public meeting announced for Metrobus Q2/Veirs Mill Line

Transportation agencies seek feedback from riders on service improvements

Metro and the Montgomery County Department of Transportation will host a public meeting in support of the Metrobus Q2/Veirs Mill Line study.

The meeting will take place Tuesday, March 31, at The First Baptist Church of Wheaton, 10914 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, Md., 20902.

The meeting will run from 7 to 9 p.m. with an Open House from 7 to 7:30 p.m. and a group exercise from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m.

This meeting is open to the public, and the agencies are relying on feedback from riders of the Q2 Line to improve service along the transit corridor.

In the first series of public meetings, riders of the Q2/Veirs Mill Line gave the study team feedback about challenges facing the line and ideas on ways to improve the service.

For the next phase of public outreach, the study team will meet with riders throughout March at bus stops, neighborhood associations and other locations to further identify problems and hear riders’ views about potential ways of solving them.
