Web page tells baseball fans how to get to the ballpark on Metro

With the 2009 Washington Nationals regular season opener just 11 days away, the team and Metro want to remind fans that the best way to get to the Nationals ballpark is by Metrorail and Metrobus.

Metro’s special, baseball-specific Web page (http://www.wmata.com/nationals)
is now available and can help fans plan their travel to Nationals Park. The page lists Metrorail and Metrobus travel options to get to the games, and provides information on parking at Metrorail stations. The site also features a Nationals Park-specific Trip Planner so that can help fans map personal travel itineraries to get them from their homes, work locations or schools to the ballpark in time for the first pitch.

The Web page includes a map that shows fans the quick and easy route from the Navy Yard Metrorail station to the ballpark entrance, and lists Metrobus routes 70, P1, P2, V7, V8 or V9 and the District of Columbia Circulator as other good options to get to the games.

The site also includes a special Go Metro! Go Nats! brochure and a link to the Washington Nationals Web site that has detailed game schedule information.
