Track maintenance to affect Metro's Red, Blue and Orange lines this weekend

Red and Orange Line customers should add 30 minutes of travel time this weekend

Track maintenance on the Red, Blue and Orange lines this weekend (April 24-26) will cause inbound and outbound trains to take turns sharing one track, and customers should add an additional 30 minutes of travel time to their trips.

Metrorail customers traveling between the Fort Totten and Silver Spring Metrorail stations should add at least 30 minutes of travel time due to necessary running rail and cross tie replacement outside the Takoma Metrorail station. Trains will share one track between these locations from 10 p.m., Friday, April 24, to closing (midnight) on Sunday, April 26.

Metrorail customers traveling between the Eastern Market and Stadium-Armory Metrorail stations should add at least 30 minutes of travel time for their trips because personnel will conduct bridge maintenance on the aerial structure outside the Stadium-Armory Metrorail station. Trains will share one track between these locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26.
