Metro seeks customer input on Metrobus routes 28A and 28B

Public meetings to take place on May 12 and 19

Metro is hosting a second round of public meetings to discuss the Metrobus 28 Line study with customers. The study has developed recommendations to improve bus service on Metrobus routes 28A and 28B, which travel between King Street Metrorail station in Alexandria, Va., and Tyson’s Corner Center in Fairfax County, Va.

The bus line connects some of Northern Virginia’s highest density residential and commercial neighborhoods including Old Town Alexandra, Southern Towers, Bailey’s Crossroads, Seven Corners and Tyson’s Corner.

The first meeting will be held in English at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School, 7134 Leesburg Pike. A second meeting will be held in Spanish the following week at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, at Corpus Christi School, 3305 Glen Carlyn Road at Leesburg Pike. English and Spanish language interpreters will be available at both meetings.

The meetings will present the public with a range of service and infrastructure improvements developed in part as a result of comments and suggestions received during the first round of public meetings. Metro is seeking customer input to aid in the prioritization of the improvements.
