Metro to operate on a Saturday schedule on Friday, July 3

Trains on Red Line to return to normal speeds

In observance of the federal holiday, Metrorail and Metrobus will operate on a Saturday schedule on Friday, July 3, with Red Line trains operating at normal speeds.

On Friday, July 3, the Metrorail system will open at 7 a.m., and close at 3 a.m. All trains will operate every 12 minutes from the ends of each line during the day, and after 8 p.m., every 15 to 20 minutes from the ends of each line. Parking at Metrorail stations will be free.

Metrobus will operate on a Saturday schedule and MetroAccess will operate on its regular schedule.

Metro’s Administrative offices will also be closed on Friday, July 3.
