Metro seeks customer input on Metrobus routes X1, X2 and X3

Public meetings to take place on July 14 and 16

Metro and the District Department of Transportation are hosting two public meetings in July to discuss the Metrobus Benning Road/H Street Line Study as part of an effort to improve bus service along the corridor.

The Benning Road/H Street Line, which includes Metrobus routes X1, X2 and X3, has the fourth highest ridership of any line in the Metrobus system with an average of 14,697 passengers per weekday.

The purpose of the meetings is to hear rider comments, questions and suggestions about ways to improve transit service along the Benning Road-H Street corridor. The project team also will discuss preliminary results of the rider survey that was distributed on the X1, X2 and X3 routes on June 25.

The first meeting will take place Tuesday, July 14, at Sherwood Recreation Center, 640 10th Street, NE, Washington, DC 200002.

The second meeting will take place Thursday, July 16, at Marshall Heights Community Development Organization, 3939 Benning Road, NE, Washington DC 20019.

Both meetings will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with an Open House at 6:30 p.m. and a presentation and group exercise from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
