Shuttle bus service established during elevator upgrade at McPherson Sq station

Work expected to take two weeks

Elevator upgrades that relate to the Americans with Disabilities Act will begin Monday, June 3, on the platform and street elevators at the McPherson Sq station, and are scheduled to be completed in two weeks (back in service on June 17), during which time they will be out of service. A temporary shuttle bus is available for customers who request it.Those customers who normally enter or exit at the McPherson Sq station should contact the station manager at the station where they enter the system to request the shuttle bus so it can meet them at an adjacent stop such as Farragut West, Farragut North, or Metro Center stations (on either side of the McPherson Sq station) to pick them up and take them to McPherson Square. The bus is stationed in the area to accommodate these customers. The ADA upgrades include the repositioning and resizing of the elevator controls to ease use by the disabled community and adds visual and audible information to assist our visually impaired and hearing impaired customers.
