42 and H8 Metrobus lines to be detoured the morning of May 7

Metrobus will detour the 42 and H8 lines on Wednesday, May 7, from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. due to a District of Columbia special event. Metrobus customers using these lines are advised to add more time to their travel as a result of the detours.42 Southbound - The detour of the 42 line, southbound toward Metro Center will begin from the terminal stand eastbound on Lamont Street, NW, and from Lamont Street make a right onto 16th Street, right onto Columbia Road to Little Harvard Street, NW, where the regular routing will be resumed.42 Northbound - The detour of the 42 line, northbound to Mount Pleasant, will begin at Columbia Road and Little Harvard Street, NW, continue on Columbia Road, left on 16th Street, left on Park Road, left on Mount Pleasant Street, and resume regular route at 17th Street, NW.H8 Southbound - This detour begins from the terminal stand eastbound on Lamont Street, NW, continues on Lamont, right on 16th Street, right on Columbia Road to Little Harvard Street where the regular route resumes.H8 Northbound - On Columbia Road, the buses will turn left at 16th Street, left at Park Road, left at Mount Pleasant Street, and resume the regular route at 17th Street, NW.Customers may call 202/637-7000 for more information on riding Metrobus and Metrorail.
