Additional Metrobus service added to complement new extended Metrorail hours

Metrobus officials are adding service to more than 75 bus routes to complement the new expanded hours of the Metrorail system which begin the week of June 29. Extended Metrobus service will provide service from regional Metrobus stops to the rail stations earlier on Saturday and Sunday mornings and later on Friday and Saturday nights. A detailed chart of all bus route early morning and late night service is included in a new free brochure entitled "Metrobus Service Changes Effective Sunday, June 29" and is available in buses and in Metrorail stations in the "Take One" racks. It is also available on line at www.metroopensdoors.com. The Metrobus routes in the District of Columbia that will offer the expanded service include Routes 30, 42, 54 and 54/, 62, 64, 66, 70, 80, 82, 94, 96 and 96/, 98, A48, A4/, B2, D2, D4, D6, D8, E2/ and E2, G2, G8, H4, H6, H8, L2, M6, N6, P6/, S2, U4, U6, U8, V7, V8, W2 and W2/, W4, W6, W8, and X2. The Metrobus routes in Maryland that will offer the expanded service include Routes A12, C4/, D14, F4, F8, H12, J2/ and J2, J12, J13, K6, K11, P12, Q2 and Q2/, V12, Y8, Y9, and Z8. The Metrobus routes in Virginia that will offer the expanded service include Routes 1F/, 2A, 3E, 3T, 4B, 7A, 9A, 10A/, 10B/, 16B, 23A, 24M, 25B, 28B, and 38B. A Metrobus route that is listed with a slash (/) behind the route number represents an abbreviated version of the full route.
