Holiday transit schedules for New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31, 2003), New Year’s Day (Jan. 1, 2004,) and Jan. 2, 2004
Transit schedules for Wednesday, December 31, 2003 (New Year’s Eve), are as follows. Metrorail will operate on a modified weekday schedule (5:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.). Metrobus routes that normally terminate service at midnight on weekdays will continue to operate until the Metrorail system closes at 2:00 a.m. In addition, buses on routes that normally operate after midnight on weekdays will continue to do so. MetroAccess will operate on a weekday schedule (5:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.).
On Thursday, January 1, 2004 (New Year’s Day), Metrorail will operate on a Sunday schedule (7:00 a.m. to midnight), Metrobus will operated on a Sunday schedule, and MetroAccess will operate on a weekday schedule (5:30 a.m. - midnight). Also on January 1, parking at all transit authority-operated lots will be free, reduced fares will be in effect all day, and bicyclists will be allowed to transport their bicycles on Metrorail.
On Friday, January 2, 2004, Metrorail will operate on a weekday schedule (5:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.), Metrobus will operated on a weekday schedule, and MetroAccess will operate on a weekday schedule (5:30 a.m. - 3:00 a.m.).
