Metro reminds patrons attending the WHFS festival to utilize the New Carrollton Metrorail station

Metro would like to remind patrons attending the WHFS Music Festival on Saturday, May 22, at RFK Stadium to utilize the New Carrollton Metrorail station on the Orange Line. This weekend, Blue Line service will be suspended between Addison Road-Seat Pleasant and Stadium-Armory. Metro personnel will be performing track circuit maintenance between Stadium-Armory and the Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Metrorail stations in preparation for the opening of Blue Line extension to the Largo Town Center in December 2004. Free shuttle bus service will be available between Stadium-Armory, Benning Road, Capitol Heights, and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant. However, patrons wishing to park their automobiles and ride Metrorail to Stadium-Armory to attend the concert are urged to travel to the New Carrollton Metrorail station. Metro will operate its full complement of rail service to and from the concert on Saturday, May 22. Metro apologizes for any inconvenience and we thank everyone for their patience while this important maintenance work occurs.
