Relax and take Metro this Sunday to see the Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Bengals at FedEx Field

On Sunday, November 14, the Washington Redskins will host the Cincinnati Bengals at 4 p.m., at FedEx Field. With 90,000 fans expected to be in attendance, the best way to get there will be on Metro. Here’s how Metro is prepared to handle the large crowds expected for Sunday’s game:

Metro will provide shuttle bus service starting at 1 p.m. from the Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Metrorail station on the Blue Line, and the Landover Metrorail station on the Orange Line to FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. Representatives from FedEx Field will collect $5 from Metrobus customers after they arrive at the stadium. After the game, customers need to return to the exact location where the shuttle bus dropped them off.

Free shuttle bus service will also be available from office parking lots at Mercantile Lane, McCormick Drive, and Technology Way starting at noon and continuing throughout the game.

Shuttle buses returning to Addison Road-Seat Pleasant, Landover, and the office parking lots will end approximately one hour after the game.

Metro will have additional trains ready to enter service after the game. Metro advises customers attending this event to follow these travel tips:

  • Buy multiple farecards faster and easier by using the Passes/Farecards machine at Metrorail stations.
  • Buy round-trip fare when first entering the system.
  • Keep farecards clean and dry so they will work on the return trip home.
  • Listen to station and train announcements.
  • Check the final destination displayed on the side of the train to be sure you’re boarding the right train.
  • Take special care of children when traveling on Metrorail and Metrobus.
  • Parking is free at Metro operated parking lots on the weekend.
