Metrorail to open at 6 a.m. this Saturday morning for the 17th annual Help the Homeless Walkathon

This Saturday, November 20, the Metrorail system will open one hour early, at 6 a.m., to accommodate the crowds expected to attend the 17th Annual Help the Homeless Walkathon which begins at 9 a.m.

The walk will occur between 4th and 7th Street, N.W., on the National Mall.

Participants and spectators are encouraged to take Metrorail and exit at the Archives-Navy Memorial Metrorail station on the Green and Yellow Lines or Judiciary Square on the Red Line. For those driving to Metrorail stations to begin their trips, parking is free at Metro-operated parking lots and garages during weekends.
