Brochures help customers get from Metrorail station to station during service disruptions

Metro has developed a series of 26 brochures, Metrorail Station to Station Bus Service, that will help customers navigate the system when a particular Metrorail station is not available due to an emergency or other service disruption.

Customized for heavily used core stations, the brochures will provide information on getting to nearby Metrorail stations using Metrobus. The brochure lists station destinations, bus route numbers and the locations of bus stops. For example, the Smithsonian Metrorail Station to Station Bus Service brochure advises customers to take Metrobus V7 or VP to get to Navy Yard, Potomac Ave or Waterfront-SEU stations.

The brochures also list nearby Metrorail stations, station addresses and the rail lines available at those stations.

Station managers and other Metro employees will distribute these brochures during times of service disruptions or emergencies when service from a particular station is not available or severely delayed.

Brochures will be available during service disruptions for the following Metrorail stations: Archives-Navy Mem’l-Penn Quarter, Brookland-CUA, Capitol South, Dupont Circle, Eastern Market, Farragut North, Farragut West, Federal Center SW, Federal Triangle, Foggy Bottom-GWU, Fort Totten, Gallery Pl-Chinatown, Judiciary Sq, King Street, L’Enfant Plaza, McPherson Sq, Metro Center, Mt Vernon Sq/7th St" Convention Center, Navy Yard, Pentagon, Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood, Rosslyn, Smithsonian, Stadium-Armory, Union Station and Waterfront-SEU.
