Holiday transit schedules for Friday, December 24, Christmas Holiday (observed) and Saturday, December 25, 2004, Christmas Day
The regional transit service holiday schedules for Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24, and Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25, 2004, are presented below for your information. The federal government, the state of Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia will observe the holiday the day before.
On Friday, December 24, Metrorail will operate on a Saturday schedule (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 a.m.). Parking at all transit authority-operated lots will be free, reduced fares will be in effect all day, and bicyclists will be allowed to transport their bicycles on Metrorail. Metrobus will operate on a Saturday schedule and MetroAccess will operate on a Saturday schedule (5:30 a.m. - 3:00 a.m.).
On Saturday, December 25, Metrorail will operate on a Saturday schedule (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 a.m.). Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule with service on selected lines to 3:00 a.m., and MetroAccess will operate on a Saturday schedule.
