Holiday transit schedules for Dec. 31, 2004, New Year’s Holiday (observed) and New Year’s Day, January 1, 2005
The regional transit service holiday schedules for New Year’s Holiday (Observed), Friday, December 31, 2004, and New Year’s Day, Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, are presented below for your information. The federal government, the state of Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia will observe the New Year’s holiday the day before.
Transit schedules for Friday, December 31, 2004, New Year’s Holiday (Observed), are as follows. Metrorail will operate on a Saturday schedule (7 a.m. - 3 a.m.). Metrobus and MetroAccess will operate on a Saturday schedule. Parking at all transit authority-operated lots will be free, reduced fares will be in effect all day, and bicyclists will be allowed to transport their bicycles on Metrorail.
On Saturday, January 1, 2004 (New Year’s Day), Metrorail will operate on a Saturday schedule (7 a.m. - 3 a.m.). Metrobus and MetroAccess will operate on a Saturday schedule.
