Metro parking facilities show availability

Metro has space for approximately 55,000 vehicles to park at 35 of its 86 Metrorail stations, and while 27 of those station parking facilities tend to fill each weekday, there are still eight stations that have parking spaces available for customers who want to park and ride on weekdays.

Metro riders who are looking to park their vehicles at Metrorail stations and hop on board a Metrorail train, can park easily at White Flint, Landover, Addison Road-Seat Pleasant, Morgan Boulevard, Prince George’s Plaza, Largo Town Center, Anacostia and West Falls Church-VT/UVA Metrorail stations.

For example, the New Carrollton and Cheverly Metrorail station parking facilities usually fill up by 7:30 a.m., but the Landover station, which is situated between those two stations does not fill, so drivers who are looking to board in that area of Prince George’s County should consider Landover as a good choice if they want to improve their chance of getting a parking space.

"If a Metrorail passenger is seeking parking and is having difficulty finding it, he or she should consider one of the eight stations where there is availability if it is convenient to them," said Ray Stoner, manager of Metro’s parking program.
