Metro Reminds customers that Wizards and Nationals play tomorrow afternoon and evening

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) would like to remind everyone that the Washington Wizards will host the Chicago Bulls at the MCI Center tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m., and the Washington Nationals will host the New York Mets tomorrow evening at 7:05 p.m. at R.F.K. Stadium. With both events expected to sell out, Metro is prepared to handle the anticipated crowds with extra trains and personnel, and reminding everyone to have enough money on their farecard or SmarTrip card when leaving Metro after the game.

Tomorrow afternoon and evening, patrons can expect the following Metro services:

Metro will operate six-car trains leading up to game time for both events.

Prior to the start of each game, additional trains will be deployed if necessary on the Red Line to Gallery Place-Chinatown Metrorail station, and the Blue and Orange Lines to the Stadium-Armory Metrorail station.

Patrons attending the Nationals game are reminded to use both entrances at the Stadium-Armory Metrorail station. The main entrance, closest to R.F.K. Stadium, is located at 19th Street and Independence Avenue, S.E. The second entrance, is located two blocks away at 19th Street between C and Burke Streets, S.E., near the old D.C. General Hospital.

Metro will have additional station managers, rail supervisors, and Transit Police at the Gallery Place-Chinatown and Stadium-Armory Metrorail stations to assist customers with service questions, and directions how to get to and from the stadium.

Upon conclusion of each event, Metro will have additional trains available, including eight-car trains to transport people from Gallery Place and Stadium- Armory.

Metro reminds patrons attending both events to have the appropriate value on their farecards or SmarTrip cards to take a round trip.
