Wheaton and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Metro Parking Garages to Undergo Rehabilitation

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) Board of Directors today approved the rehabilitation of the Wheaton and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Metro Station parking structures. The rehabilitation of these structures will involve joint replacement, structural, drainage, electrical work, and repaving.

The work at the 977-space Wheaton parking structure and the 1,268-space Addison Road-Seat Pleasant parking structure will be accomplished in several phases to minimize the impact on customers.

The total cost of these rehabilitation projects is $7. 9 million. The Authority will provide further details through news releases and on its Web site at www.metroopensdoors.com once the work at each station is scheduled to begin.
