Metro’s New Red Line Team Managers to Meet and Greet Riders Tomorrow Evening at the Shady Grove Metrorail Station

Tomorrow evening, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., new Metrorail Red Line Manager B.J. Jones will meet and greet customers at the Shady Grove Metrorail station. She, along with representatives from plant, rail car, elevator and escalator maintenance and customer service will also be available to answer questions from riders.

Ms. Jones will introduce herself to customers at Shady Grove and hand them a Red Line business card with the e-mail address and customer service number to address all future concerns related to the Red Line. The new Red Line Team is part of Metro’s commitment to improve service reliability and customer satisfaction on Metrorail’s busiest rail line. The team members are responsible for everything that happens on the line between Shady Grove and Glenmontfrom the rail car equipment, track, fare vending machines, elevators and escalators, and system cleanliness to the people who work on the line, including station mangers, train operators and custodians. The Red Line Team concept will be expanded to the Orange/Blue and Yellow/Green Metrorail lines by the end of the year.

Several meet and greet sessions are planned at other Red Line stations during June and July. The tentative schedule is as follows:

July 13 Glenmont 8-9 a.m.

July 20 Silver Spring 5:30-6:30 p.m.
