Metrorail Trains Single Tracking Around Incident For Afternoon Rush Hour

Orange Line trains will be single tracking this afternoon between Cheverly and Stadium Armory Metrorail stations while police and emergency personnel are on the tracks at the Minnesota Avenue Metrorail station to investigate a situation where a female was struck and killed by a train.

The six-car inbound train struck the woman at 3:33 p.m. The station was temporarily closed and a bus bridge was established to move passengers who were planning to enter or exit via the Minnesota Ave station.

Customers can expect delays on the Orange Line during the afternoon rush due to the ongoing investigation.
