Metro to Celebrate Opening of New Parking Facility
At College Park-U of MD Metrorail Station
Brief remarks will be made by the VIPs listed below.When: 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 5 Where: Entrance to the College Park-U of MD Metrorail Station, 7350 50th Avenue What: Officials will celebrate the opening of the new parking facility at the College Park-U of MD Metrorail station. The new six-level garage provides a total of 1,345 parking spaces. The additional spaces will offer people additional access to the Metrorail system by providing more parking. It also will provide parking for nearby transit-oriented development (650 spaces for Metro and 740 for commercial use). Approximately 7,000 trips are taken to and from the College Park-U of MD station on an average weekday.
