Metro reports 53,087 Metrorail passengers as of 11 a.m. today

As of 11 a.m. today, Monday, the Fourth of July, Metro reports that 53,087 passengers had entered the Metrorail system. One year ago, Sunday, July 4, 2004, there were 40,676 passengers who had entered the Metrorail system by the same time.

As of 11 a.m. today, Metro reported no significant operational problems or delays on either Metrorail or Metrobus.

The most crowded stations have been the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU, Shady Grove and Franconia-Springfield Metrorail stations.
